- DOGE takes over key website that handles distribution of $500bn in federal grants by Josh Marcus for The Independent: The so-called Department of Governmental Effeciency (DOGE) has taken over access to Grants.gov, the key funding portal by which nonprofits and local governments accessed federal resources. DOGE allegedly has access to approve and remove postings. Be mindful if you’re utilizing the platform 👀
- Unite in Advance: Philanthropy Coalition Launches Solidarity Campaign by Tonya Allen et al. for Non-profit Quarterly: A group of foundations have signed an open letter expressing their commitment to continue their investment in spite of the administration’s targetting. ahem . This is a good thing AND this cannot be a Pel*si kneeling in Kente cloth moment. Check the list of signatories and watch this space if these foundations put their money where their mouths are.
