Board Member role supporting governance and strategy for an environmental justice in technology nonprofit.

Scope: Rooted Futures Lab seeks Board of Directors members to provide governance, strategic oversight, and fundraising support for its mission centering environmental justice in technology. Board members will contribute to committee work, donor cultivation, program strategy, and risk management over a two-year term. The organization works through education, research, and action to address the exclusion of environmental justice in technology development.
Requirements: Candidates must have a passion for sustainability, technical problem solving, and the organization's mission, along with expertise in at least one relevant skill set such as donor/foundation connections, startup experience, fundraising, financial management, or legal/risk management. Board members are expected to attend meetings, understand financial statements, actively fundraise, make personal philanthropic contributions, and participate in at least one committee or task force.
