Description: Copper is seeking a Staff Embedded Systems Engineer to own core firmware architecture for its energy-storage-enabled induction range, spanning device connectivity, OTA updates, fleet management, and cloud data flow. This hands-on role involves mentoring engineers and leading technical direction across a small cross-functional team.
Qualifications: 8+ years hands-on embedded systems experience shipping products to production; deep experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, MQTT/HTTPS/CoAP; strong OTA and bootloader design experience; excellent embedded C skills (C++ a plus); FreeRTOS development experience; experience with cloud infrastructure, REST APIs, and fleet telemetry; experience building HIL/SIL testing and CI workflows; strong cross-functional communication skills.
