Description: Energy Equity Project seeks its first Communications Director to advance the visibility and impact of work ensuring Black, Brown, Indigenous and low-income communities have affordable, clean energy and voice in energy planning. The role involves leading organizational communications strategy, media outreach, social media management, and adapting technical resources for multiple audiences including frontline communities, regulators, and policymakers.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of communications experience including media outreach, multi-platform communication, and social media; working knowledge of U.S. energy system and energy justice; experience creating holistic communications plans; ability to communicate energy issues with nuance through a justice lens; professional network including journalists and thought leaders.
