Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually

Description: The Housing Assistance Council (HAC) is seeking a Loan Officer to represent HAC in its affordable housing lending activities, including marketing, originating, and underwriting new loan transactions for rural communities. The Loan Officer will structure loan transactions, prepare and negotiate loan proposals, manage the loan approval process, and maintain key strategic relationships with partners and borrowers. This role supports HAC's mission to improve housing conditions for the rural poor, with emphasis on underserved regions including Native American communities, the Mississippi Delta, farmworkers, and Appalachia.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred; minimum 3 years experience in real estate finance or development; experience with affordable housing underwriting; knowledge of CDFIs and CDFI Fund programs; familiarity with USDA Rural Development and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits; strong financial, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and loan servicing systems.
