Description: The Business Development Officer will support the Sustainable Food Systems Program by building relationships across the regional agriculture community and identifying lending opportunities for farm and food businesses throughout New England. The BDO will work closely with the business lending team to shepherd borrowers through the loan process, analyze credit proposals, and manage ongoing borrower relationships. This role also involves developing partnerships with agriculture support organizations and contributing to grant proposals and regional food system initiatives.
Qualifications: At least five years of relevant professional experience in farm/food systems, lending, or business management; familiarity with credit analysis and financial statements preferred; strong interpersonal, written, and organizational skills; valid driver's license required.
