The Take: Never normalize this foolishness and the risk this poses to people who’ve born the brunt of fossil fuel infrastructure. Don’t let the “natural gas” framing make it seem benign. Would the wealthy want to live near this infrastructure?
The Take: After its weakest quarterly financial earnings since 2021, Shell is attempting to. back out of the investments and the job creation commitments it has made in PA after selling off much of the $1.65 BILLION it got from the state! Imagine if that had been invested locally into alternatives?

The brilliant folks at the Climate Justice Alliance have recently made available online their film, Grasping at the Roots, which is billed as a “Love Letter to the Black Environmental Justice” community. It shows that we fight because we love us and our communities and that we deserve a transition that is just.
For those of us from the frontlines, for those in solidarity with us, for those who want to ensure that the transition of our economy away from extraction is into a regenerative one where we all have sustainable, prosperous futures — Common River is for you.
